MEDITERRANEAN DIGITAL CONFERENCE MeDigital 2009 PRESENTED IN BRUSSELS

 

The event will take place in Rome on April 21, 22, 23

 

MeDigital 2009 – Mediterranean Digital Conference, the event promoted by the Presidency of Regione Lazio, that will be held in Rome (April 21, 22, 23), has been presented today in Brussels.

MeDigital is a meeting with which Lazio Region aims at focusing the discussion between Europe and the Mediterranean Countries on the audiovisual product. This one can tell stories and can make cultures know each other by meeting and exchange experiences and on a twofold nature: cultural and commercial one.

 

The conference will offer the opportunity to reflect upon, deepen and discuss the creation, production and dissemination issues related to audiovisual products in the Mediterranean and European Areas.

Representatives of institutions,  of industries and of the culture sector will sit together to think about what it is needed to fight piracy in order to develop an audiovisual world which should take advantage of all its potential in telling stories, entertaining audiences, and, above all, becoming a faithful mirror of our society, without illegality and assuring the good quality of works.

 

During MeDigital, meetings and panels will be held on audiovisual issues. European institutional representatives and audiovisual sector professionals will be together in a perspective of “ideas industry” from which a profitable and virtuous will can begin.
